oogle's upcoming Android Lollipop is now official and the update would begin rolling out for various devices as early as January 2015. Today Every one wanna be stay updated with new android versions same craze has been seen for android kitkat 4.0 but this time its New Year and New Android Lollipop 5.0 is no doubt a major upgrade to a newer version of Android with a new UI, amazing animation etc. 

Here is a list for that Phones who will be Officially Getting Android 5.0 Updates :-

Firstly ,Lets talk about Android One Smartphones. When will they get the updates ??
So Android One would be getting the android 5.0 Lollipop update in the end week of January. As during the launch Google promised That all Android One Smartphones will be getting updates for the next 2 years. At Present there are 3 Android One smartphone i.e., Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream Uno and Micromax Canvas A1 so if you have any of these be prepared for the update.

Date are Confirmed : Update will be released in the end week of January : Google

Secondly ,HTC, being the first company to confirm about bringing Android Lollipop update for their smartphones in India and would be soon follow up by releasing updates once Android Lollipop is launched.

HTC has now made official about its plans on when and to what smartphone, the Android Lollipop update would be arriving.

• HTC One (M7) - Android 5.0 Lollipop update in 90 days
• HTC One (M8) - Android 5.0 Lollipop update in 90 days
• HTC One mini - Android 5.0 Lollipop update, schedule TBA
• HTC One mini 2 - Android 5.0 Lollipop update, schedule TBA

The 90 days is an estimate from the day they receive finalized Android 5.0 Lollipop build from Google. HTC will also be announcing the complete list of devices so these may not only the ones which would be getting the android lollipop update.

Thirdly ,Sony Xperia z smartphones would begetting Android L Updates Soon. Sony has now made official that its entire Z Series Smartphone would be getting Android L Update.
This includes the following smartphones : Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.

Each one of these smartphones would be getting android L update soon as Sony Said. However they may not be the only one as Sony may add few more smartphones to android L upgrade list however it does not seem like that as of now. So if your device is not in the list, you will need to wait to see if something pops up into Sony's mind and they upgrade your device to Android L.

Xiaomi has Released New Kernel Source Update For Redmi 1s On 31st December 2014

Many Xiaomi users in India wanted to get updated to a newer version of Kernel source. Xiaomi has came to India about 4-5 months ago with his Redmi 1s Smartphone and got a huge success in India. Till now Xiaomi has sold more than 2,000,000 Smartphones in India including Redmi 1s and Redmi Note 3G (Redmi Note 4G Is not counted in this) .The owners of Redmi 1s were waiting from many time and are finally getting it today (31st December). Hugo Barra (CEO Of Xiaomi in India) also apologizes for the delay and said they would do better in the future.

Xiaomi Redmi 1s again came back on sale on 23rd December after the partially lifted ban by Delhi High Court. But after 23rd it won't be on sale for next week because Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Is launching on 30th December for Rs.9999/-
